It was a while since I used a camera properly, though I have been picking it up a bit more regularly again it has been a year or two since I did real photography and not just documenting bookshelves or socks. So when Alma asked if I could do their official wedding photos, I was a bit sceptical at first. I mean, I said yes almost instantly but I was still sceptical. And then a few days before the event Tomym asked if I wanted to borrow his newer camera. Which I also said yes too, I'm no fool. Perhaps I should have changed a few settings in hindsight but it worked out mostly fine.
Tall flowers and a red cabin just by the small waterfall, Alma and Anosheh posed and I sat down to get a better angle. The photos turned out rather great since they didn't pose as much as you know talk and have fun — best kind of people to photograph really, posed photos bore me. Anyway, I put my hand down to get up and there was a sting and itchiness. Apparently I put my hand down on a pair of nettles. It passed qickly but it resurfaced at times during the evening. Seriously. Nettles? In a place where people walk and sit? I'm in faux outrage still!
The path we took — Alma insisted and said "this is why I wear the dress" when Anosheh voiced concern about the mud — a few minutes later gave some of my favourite photos I've ever taken. So that was good. Lots of fun that day.
