Still trying to figure out this software, but I like it. While it might be a bit more complex than TinyLetter, the editor is far simpler to use. And it hasn’t eaten any of the texts yet.
January and February has had a fair share of things sent from US and UK, and as such they’ve gotten stuck in customs for VAT. Which I could live with, had that been the only thing but no, we in Sweden love bureaucracy so we also need to have a handler’s fee on top of that. 10 cents VAT, 8 dollar handling fee… Those kind of adds up.
And they’re also making us check mark “approves Postnord as a go-between handling this matter”, but the only other option is of course no-one handling it and it gets sent back. It’s bullshit.
I think it’s fairly known by people who know me that I’m a huge Mekons fan. And while their latest album isn’t on any streaming services, they did release a collaboration with Freakwater today. Twelve protest songs about miners, some covers, some originals by either band. It’s really good.
The good people of Die Hard Dice — who usually make dice sets, nice colours with quite readable numbers to boot — did a tarot deck. The cards create a gradient and each artist drew just one of the cards. So a lot of different styles. The card I did for it was the Hermit and it’s a pale green.
He’s now 14 months. For his birthday in January, he shat on the floor. Left is when he arrived last March, right this January.
And this was last month.
It’s starting to get time for another haircut for him.
Thank you for reading and I hope it finds you in... a health I suppose. I do hope it was a good one though. Outside of this, there's always bluesky or the links to all things Internets (including art commission info).
