Why I Joined Wherobots, Apache Sedona, Spatial Cypher & More!

Hi friend -

It's been a while since my last newsletter post so I'll share a bit about what I've been up to since the last update.

Why I Joined Wherobots & Getting Started With Apache Sedona

The biggest change for me is that I've left Neo4j and joined a new company called Wherobots! Wherobots is building a cloud-native spatial analytics and AI database.

Chakra UI With Next.js & GraphQL, New Fullstack GraphQL Book Chapters, and announcing GraphStuff.FM

Hi folks!

In this update I want to share some things I've been working on recently.

Chakra UI, Next.js, & GraphQL

On the Neo4j live stream I've been working on building a podcast application using GRANDstack (GraphQL, React, Apollo, & Neo4j Database). The latest two sessions focused on adding functionality to the frontend of the application: podcast search, viewing/creating playlists, user authentication, and handling a users's podcast feed.

Update from Will #2: Graph Architecture & Integrations, Building A Dashboard, and Videos

Hi folks!

It was a short week in the US for the Thanksgiving holiday but I wanted to send out an update of what I've been working on.

Neo4j Connections: Graph Architecture and Integrations

Last week I had the pleasure of presenting along with my colleague David Allen at the Neo4j Connections: Graph Architecture and Integrations event. In our keynote presenation we gave an overview of the new Neo4j Connectors that enable using Neo4j in your existing architecture as well as a look at what's going on inside Neo4j Labs, which is where I spend most of my time. You can find the recording of our talk "Extending The Reach Of Graphs" here on YouTube.

Update From Will #1: New website, livestreams, and new blog posts

Hi folks!

I'm super excited to be sending out my first newsletter! Here I'll share things I've been working on recently, new blog posts, and what I've been reading. So here we go!

New Website

I finally got around to updating my personal website and blog over the last few weekends. Previously it was a simple static Jekyll site with mostly just blog posts, but I've now migrated those posts to my new site which uses Next.js and MDX. My personal site had been neglected over the last few years as I've mostly been publishing on Medium. I have some plans for fun things to add to the site so hopefully it will evolve over time. You can check out the new site at lyonwj.com. Let me know if you have any feedback or ideas for improvement!
