your guide to ghostly gift-giving (& sales!)
hey all! i'm slightly too tired today to write a full email introduction, so i'm going to skip right to the good stuff: i'm having sales on basically every platform where you can buy things from me!
🎁 gifts for your favorite ghost-lovers 🎁
tis the season for gift-giving holidays! i'm not a big winter holidays person, but i do love giving and receiving gifts. if someone in your life likes ghosts, haunted houses, various spooky things, supporting lgbt artists, etc — i've got some ghostly goods on super sale for you to check out!
over on my inprnt print shop, you can grab art prints, stickers, phone cases, posters, and more for 25% off for the rest of november! just use the code XEG7CCU at checkout.
if t-shirts and tote bags are more your thing, everything on my bonfire t-shirt shop is 15% off until december 1st with the code GHOST15!
for book lovers, i've got some handy lists on bookshop of books that i've worked on (including the witch's wings and other terrifying tales, which has somehow been out for over a month already!) and of some of my favorite haunted house books! you can find those here & take advantage of the various holiday sales bookshop is having.
(buying books via that link lets me get a small commission from the sale, so you'll be getting some great reading material and tossing a bit of support my way, as well!)
and last but not least, everything on my itch.io shop is 50% off until december 1st! sketchbooks, zines, pdf editions of haunts, and miscellaneous other digital goodies!
quick summary with all those links and discount codes in one place:
inprnt (art prints) — 25% off with code XEG7CCU
bonfire (shirts & tote bags) — 15% off with code GHOST15
itch.io (digital versions of zines & etc) — 50% off, no code needed
bookshop (my books & recommended books) — misc. sales all season, + free shipping currently for black friday!
(i'm sort of desperately tired of advertising myself and pushing my wares for the sake of capitalism, but hey, i gotta pay rent somehow. i'd super duper appreciate it if you bought something from any of these links, or passed the info on to someone you think might like my stuff. thanks!)
🎴 december's patreon rewards 🎴
i've been slowly but surely working on my new deck of spirits tarot card deck, and as of today, i'm more than 25% of the way done with it. to celebrate, i'll be making mini prints of the cards i have done so far and sending one random card to each ouija board tier patron next month!
join my patreon before december 1st if you want a card!
🫀 new art 🫀
while in boston earlier this month, i made three teeny tiny stream-of-consciousness zines about houses, each of which you can flip through on my website now, if you'd like.
i think they're pretty neat.
here's a little peek at the latest deck of spirits card i've finished! if you'd like to see the full version, my patreon subscribers get to see each card before anyone else.
🇵🇸 cartoonist co-op's donation drive 🇵🇸
the cartoonist cooperative, which i'm a member of, is currently doing a huge donation drive to get e-sims to people in palestine and help them circumvent internet blackouts and connect with the wider world. since most monetary donations and resources are being blocked from getting into palestine, e-sim donations are one of the few resources that can be directly donated to folks on the ground in gaza.
a bunch of cartoonists coop artists are offering art (commissions, books, prints, comics, store credit, etc) in exchange for e-sim donations! i wasn't able to participate in this donation drive, but there's a ton of incredible artists participating. please go check out the cartoonist cooperative's donation drive page, donate e-sims to gaza, and grab some cool art in exchange for helping people.
🎀 recommendations 🎀
i read witch hat atelier earlier this month and absolutely adored it. if you want beautifully drawn manga about weird little girls who do magic, you should read it.
i've been really enjoying jenna stoeber's new podcast big game hunger, where jenna and her very funny friends craft the next big game every week!
i played a bunch of domino club's interactive fiction games last week. domino club is a collective of artists who do anonymous game jams, and there's always some really cool stuff in every collection they put out. my favorite of the ones i've played recently was SSSM: in the shadow of jupiter, a sci-fi body horror story told through emails, news articles, files, and other found-media/epistolary type framing devices.
jacob geller put out a great new video this week called three specific kinds of terror.
that's all i've got for y'all this time. talk to you soon! take care of yourselves! stay safe out there! wear a mask when around large groups of people! love you!
