THE WITCH'S WINGS is out now! (plus: a busy weekend for baltimore events!)
hello, dear newsletter subscribers! how are you? i hope you're doing well & getting into the halloween spirit.
the witch's wings is finally out!!
the witch's wings and other terrifying tales, an are you afraid of the dark graphic novel with three spooky stories (one of which was drawn by me!) is out now! you can get a copy wherever graphic novels are sold, or order it online!
i am so extremely excited that this is finally out in the world, and i can't wait for you all to read it. tehlor kay mejia's writing is fantastic, and junyi wu and justin & alexis hernandez did amazing work on their sections of the book. i think you're really going to like it.
events this weekend!
i've got a busy weekend packed full of cool events for folks in the baltimore area!
first, on saturday (that's tomorrow, if you're reading this when i send it), i'm doing a book launch/signing/watch party at dreamers & make-believers bookstore. the folks at dreamers are so lovely, and i'm super excited to be doing my first ever book signing in their fantastic store. i'll be signing books from 4-6pm, after which we're going to watch a couple episodes of are you afraid of the dark! come through if you're in the area!
on sunday, i'll be at the baltimore horror club's beers & fear halloween market at peabody heights brewery! i'll have comics, zines, stickers, pins, prints — my usual convention stuff, plus some fun new handmade ghost pins that i've been working on. there'll be a ton of other spooky vendors there to get all your halloween goodies from!
new washi tape!
i have some new stamp washi out now from the washi station as part of their halloween ghost stories collection! you can get some here!
i don't have much new art to share at the moment — i've been having a weird time mental health-wise, and am feeling kind of burnt out. i've gotten a new part-time job that i start in a week and a half, and i'm hoping that extra more reliable/stable income will make creating things feel less stressful again. fingers crossed!
i'll probably write another newsletter towards the end of the month — i think halloween (and my birthday, on which i'll be 25, somehow) is enough of a celebration to justify two emails in one month! hopefully i'll have more to share at that point.
until then, best of luck with planning your halloween costumes, and i hope to see some of you at the events this weekend! stay spooky!
