Only-begotten (Announcements for October 10)
Hi everyone,
Here are this week's announcements.
Just a reminder: tomorrow (during the Sunday School time) will be the first meeting of our Foundations Class, which is especially for visitors considering membership and younger folks preparing to profess their faith. Please join in if you would like.
Deacon Stan Liao will be teaching Adult Sunday School tomorrow on the subject of tithing. This is a very practical subject, so come if you are able and bring your questions!
Sincerely,
Pastor Goligher

Through the Week
Tuesday Bible Study will not meet this week. We will resume our normal schedule next week (October 19).
Prayer Meeting is on Wednesday evening at 7:15pm, at church and on Zoom.
There will be Ladies' coffee night on Thursday at 7pm, at church.
Fall Bible Reading: Week 2
I hope you enjoyed the first week of our Bible reading challenge. (Bonus points if you read "1 John 6" which I accidentally included in the plan!) If you didn't join last week, feel free to jump in this week.
This week we are reading Genesis 13-24, which is mostly the life-story of Abraham. Abraham is our father in the faith, a great example of trusting God's promises, and living in a way that flows from that trust. This is especially true in Genesis 22, where Abraham sacrifices his only-begotten son on a mountain that would later be the location of Israel's temple. The kids will be reading this part of the Abraham story.
We are also reading 1 Timothy, which contains much of Paul's practical instruction for the church and its leadership.
