Here is the plan in digital format: Adults’ Version, Kids’ Version
This week we are reading the life story of Jacob, which was definitely a tumultuous affair. Throughout all the uncertainty and conflict of his earthly life, Jacob knew that his life on earth was rooted in God’s promises from heaven, which he glimpsed personally in a vision at Bethel (Genesis 28). In Revelation 1-6, we have our own glimpse of God’s promises from heaven for our life on earth.
Kids, this week we are reading in Genesis 27 about Jacob and Esau fighting to get God’s blessing from their dad. We definitely should not follow Jacob’s example of telling lies. We should learn from him, though, that getting God’s blessing is the most important thing in the whole world, and that we should do whatever we can to get it. Thankfully, all we need to do to get God’s blessing is to trust in Jesus and obey him.
