The Prostate

The prostate is a walnut-sized gland located between your balls and your butt, right under your bladder. It’s located about two inches inside the rectum. The prostate's primary function is to produce semen.

The prostate contains thousands of nerve endings, making it the the primary erogenous zone for men and earning its nickname as the “male G-spot”. For many men, stimulating the prostate can create a full-body orgasm that is much more intense and pleasurable than the conventional penile orgasm. 

Some men have even nicknamed prostate orgasms the “Super- O” (Levin, 2017) or super orgasm; “a non-ejaculatory orgasm described to be completely different (full body, no refractory period) and orders of magnitude more powerful than a penile orgasm. It's often described as the height of physical pleasure”. 

What Is An Erogenous Zone?

The word erogenous comes from the Greek words, “eros”- love and “genous”- producing. An erogenous zone is anywhere on the body that has a heightened sensitivity and can elicit a sexual response when stimulated. Stimulating these areas can encourage relaxation, promote blood flow, build arousal, enhance sexual pleasure, and help you or your partner achieve orgasm.

Erogenous zones vary person to person. What feels good for one person may be unpleasant for another. Factors like timing, mood, partner choice, and the type of stimulation can impact your preference. This is why communication is key. Make sure you speak with your partner, or partners, about what you each enjoy. Exploring your erogenous zones together can be a great way to get to know each other more intimately and learn something about each other and yourself in the process.

My name is CJ and I am the co-founder of Butter Wellness. There are now 2,059 of you that are part of the pre-launch Butter community. First off, I want to thank all of you for being here. Some of you may have stumbled across our social media, some of you may be supportive friends, and some of you may have discovered Butter through the pre-launch campaign we ran. Regardless of your path here, I couldn’t be happier to have you along for the ride and am excited to build Butter with you all. I wanted to write this post to provide you with a bit more background on the origin of Butter. Let’s dive into it.

What is Butter Wellness? Butter is a modern men’s sexual wellness brand. Centered around education, innovation, and approachability, we create products for the oft-overlooked yet most pleasurable area of a man’s body—the prostate, otherwise known as ‘the male G-spot.’ Welcome to man's final frontier.

Our mission is to de-stigmatize prostate stimulation and other taboos, enabling every man to feel confident partaking in self care that brings them the most pleasure.

Thank you to everyone who provided their thoughts in the last survey! Taking into account your feedback, we decided to move forward with the Greco-Roman direction. Now, our designer has come back to us with three different options to choose from within the over-arching Greco-Roman theme. A sneak peak of some of the creative details is pictured below.

Hey everyone, CJ here, founder of Butter. I wanted to provide you all with a couple of updates, as well as request your feedback. After successful proof-of-concept testing (collecting pre-orders), we have begun building out some of the key infrastructure needed to launch the business. This includes finalizing our manufacturing partners, raising additional funds, and bringing on a design partner to help us build out the brand.

As mentioned above, after a thorough search process, we recently signed a contract with a design studio to build out our branding, packaging, and e-commerce design & development.
