Hello altGDC friends.
Two weeks ago (and what weeks they have been!), we spun up altGDC because we wanted a place for game developers to be social and share knowledge, even without the official, in-person GDC.
As the weeks have gone on, as the state of the world has gotten more complicated, as the in-person event we wanted to throw became less and less possible, and as GDC itself is hosting a streaming event next week, we have come to a conclusion.
There will not be any official altGDC events this coming week. We will be linking to the streaming events that are happening, and rehosting them on our Twitch channel as possible. We will of course keep the Discord running, and we hope the community will continue there. We’ve been inspired by the online events people are pulling together, and we will be following along with them ourselves.
