SNAFUBAR Reports — 15.02.2021

Preface

I think this is attempt four. There are several unfinished drafts of this newsletter, which all started fine, but then I couldn’t finish and by the time I returned, it felt like too late to send it. And another one it felt like it still needs some work because the piece I wrote evolve into something bigger and needs more research and thinking time. I’m keeping them to return later but instead of working one of those I’ve decided to start with a new one.

WaDI Newsletter: Living on Another Planet

Preface

Hi everyone! I’m not going to write another “it’s been a while since we last talked” intro because I’m just going to accept that this is how this newsletter is going to be. I’m trying to build a template to make it easier to write and all the other things but who knows how successful it’ll be.

WaDI Newsletter: "Vonnegut punch for your Atlas shrug"

It’s been quite a break. During I was not around world has changed a lot, things changed for all of us. There’s a lot changed over here too, starting with the one thing you all probably noticed by now.

Yes, I moved the newsletter out of Substack to . It’s not that I had a problem with Substack but it felt like their tools and platform is not really for me or what I plan with this newsletter. Being on the Substack makes me think about I should go for a more professional newsletter, one with paid subscription and stuff. Aside from the fact that it’s technically impossible for me (because of the country I’m writing this to you) I really don’t want to do that, at least not with a newsletter. I already have for that purpose and focusing that seems like the best path forward right now.

Here We Go Again

Greetings! I know it’s been one and a half month since we last spoke but things like this happen time to time. If you need a short explanation, it’s basically because I have a problematic sense of time and can’t really calculate how much time the work I have on my hand will take. Thus, stuff gets delayed.

Porygon is Better Than Cybertruck

I know it feels like this newsletter turned into a bi-weekly one but it’s not on purpose. Last couple months had too much going on and I also have to leave the house tomorrow and won’t be back until next Wednesday, and there is also another weekend work trip the week after I return.

War. War Never Changes.

Hello everyone! It’s been a week around here. Turkey has started another military operation over at Syria and other than a really small minority of people, everyone’s already got drunk on that sweet sweet nationalism juice. And parliament approved the operation just today, so there’s not much to do other than just sit and watch.
