This is some recent feedback we've had for the course:
"Great mix of listening and hands on activities, I was fully engaged the whole time!"
"Design justice and equity is so important, it's great to spend time reflecting on it"
"Great vibe among the group and facilitators. People were great about sharing and contributing in a positive way to group work. That makes a huge difference."
"Thank you - this has been really helpful and incredibly interesting."
Power, privilege and equity training course.
Clara will also be running a course called “Power, privilege and equity: Designing and building services and products” in February.
There are unequal outcomes for users of public services. Some groups of people benefit more from services than others. Some groups are harmed more than others.
As people who design and build public services, we have a responsibility to make better, more equitable services for everyone.
In this 4 part training course in February, Sonia Turcotte and Clara Greo will help you understand the problem we are facing and how to start addressing it in your day to day work.
We have run this course 10 times with over 150 participants and it's been very successful in private groups. However, smaller groups or individuals haven't had the chance to take the course as we've never run it publicly before.
To get a feel for our work, these are the weeknotes Sonia and Clara wrote while we were working at NHS Digital in 2021.
Let us know if you have any questions!
