Our first newsletter!
Hi! Thanks for signing up for the Tropy Updates newsletter. You won't get a lot of these, but the ones you do will be packed full of great stuff. This is the welcome newsletter; after this you'll get ones with more information about our current operations.
Introduction
Tropy is a project of the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media at George Mason University. Our team is based in Fairfax, Virginia; Vienna, Austria; and Luxembourg.
What is Tropy for, anyway?
Tropy is for organizing and describing your photos. If you take photos of anything from scientific research to archival materials to old family records, you need to know what your photos are. You also need a way to organize them into sensible groups. Tropy helps you do that. With a flexible structure and a lot of options, Tropy allows you to take back control of your digital photos.
What are you going to get from this newsletter?
In every issue of this newsletter, we're going to tell you what's new with Tropy, where you can find the team, and other things that we have found helpful for research, plus some fun stuff.
