πŸ’ͺ Monthly Reading Challenge

swap's musings

This is a follow-up to 🏫 Reading Academy for Everyone.

While starting out, monthly goals can be more effective than annual ones. With this in mind, we’re starting monthly reading challenges at Reademy.

We have 4 themes with different channels for each. You need to read one book in ANY theme to complete the challenge:

  1. Curiosity - this is for avid readers, picking up an out of comfort zone book, different opinion, long/academic books like architecture books, game design, etc.
  2. Adulting - anything that you know will help you somehow, like atomic habits, the defining decade, becoming, lean in, educated, etc.
  3. Fun - children’s literature, graphic novels, humor books
  4. Escape - classic fiction/scifi go here

To participate, check out our pinned tweet. You’ll get the link to join the community Discord server after you fill out the form. See you there! πŸ‘‹

Whenever you make progress on your book, post a screenshot / a line you really liked / an excerpt you highlighted in your respective channel - it could also be a simple progress update like “read 10 pages today”. πŸ”₯

I recommend getting physical copies as it generally leads to higher completion rates. If you need recommendations on what to pick up, feel free to start a thread in our Discord. We’ll host a celebration hour at the end of every month to discuss what we’ve read. πŸ₯³

Starting this online is also a good baby step towards my read & dine cafe goal. Reademy CAFE is now open, recreating school library period vibes!
