I’ve really enjoyed this Quora answer on how to become an advanced writer by Venkatesh Rao. I love his description of the divide between thinking-first and writing-first non-fiction writers. Also, it's interesting how he rates one of my favorite writers, Paul Graham, as one mili-Shakespeare.
