Irregular Reveries 10: The Inner Scorecard
Hi there,
I hope you’re taking it easy and one step at the time. I’m still getting adjusted to regular life after the vacation.
I went hiking with a friend after work the other day and really loved it. It’s a great alternative to sitting in a bar if time permits.
This week’s article
I’ve recently stopped using Apple Watch and wrote an article, which explains why. I’ve realized that I’m getting really little value out of it, so this might be a good read if you’re considering buying it.

I’m currently reading “The Magic of Thinking Big” by David J. Schwartz, and I’m enjoying it. I love light reads during the summer, and this turned out to be a great pick.
I got interested in this book, after discovering a quote from it a while ago:
“Action feeds and strengthens confidence; inaction in all forms feeds fear. To fight fear, act. To increase fear — wait, put off, postpone.”
I actually have this framed on my desk as a reminder.
Something to think about
“There are more things likely to frighten us than there are to crush us; we suffer more often in imagination than in reality.” — Seneca
Question for you
Would you rather be the world’s greatest lover, but have everyone think you’re the world’s worst lover? Or would you rather be the world’s worst lover, but have everyone think you’re the world’s greatest lover?
This is the question Warren Buffett likes to ask. You can read more about that in this Farnam Street article.
