Reminder: The Devil’s in the Details: Sakkaki’s Magic Book of Everything
Thank you for registering for our event, “The Devil’s in the Details: Sakkaki’s Magic Book of Everything,” featuring Dr. Emily Selove, Senior Lecturer of Medieval Arabic Language and Literature, at the University of Exeter.

Dr. Selove will discuss her Leverhulme-funded research project, “A Sorcerer’s Handbook,” which will create an edition, translation, and literary study of Siraj al-Din al-Sakkaki’s (d. 1229) Arabic encyclopedia of practical magic. She will be joined in conversation by Professor Travis Zadeh of the Department of Religious Studies, Yale University.
