Equilibrium :) with fixed links

(Apologies for the duplicate email - had to change a setting to fix the links)

Hey kiddos,

I’m keeping busy and settling in back in NYC. The apartment is great - good roommates, easy access to groceries, and I’m two minutes’ walk from the best burrito I’ve ever eaten.

It's been a year

Hey weirdos,

We’ve survived four seasons! For me, the days got longer, and then shorter again. For you, perhaps the opposite. Either way, I have so enjoyed staying in touch with you. But it is a little more one-way than I’d like… How was the year for you? Hard, or soft? Hot, or cold? I’d love to hear about it. Just hit reply, whenever you get a chance.

The website

I’ve added a personal wiki for my website. It’s part of my effort to learn somewhat more publicly and collaboratively - and it’s still very much under construction, fwiw. The best page so far is either my (incomplete) travel log, my bullseyes “recipe,” or a list of fun bots.

Sunlight through the window, making rainbows on the wall

Greetings!

Firstly: thank you. Friendship gets people through break-ups, and I have most certainly leaned on all of you. It hasn’t all been windows and rainbows - there have been many times I’ve felt down - but even in my loneliest moments I have been buoyed by the support of my friends. With time, and with your help, the “” is falling apart, and new and exciting things are coming together to take its place.

Blog update

I wasn’t as active on my website over the last few months, but I did put together a piece called , an introductory perspective on prison abolition.

Equal parts darkness and light

Hi there!

It’s the equinox - a vernal one up here in the states - which means you get an update on my life. It’s the second one, which makes this a trend, right?? Gimme some emotes in the chat if you want to hear more.

(Oh wait, this is asynchronous communication, you say? Well, then, I guess you’ll just have to email me some cool gifs and memes.)

Today is either really long or really short, depending on where you live (Natehn Quarterly #1)

Greetings, friends!

We made it one more quarter-turn around our warm little star. I’m writing from my parents’ place in Fishers, IN (don’t worry, we took precautions). I’m in the coldest room of the house, but I’ve got blankets and sweatpants so things are alright.

There’s a lot going on in the world right now, but I’m not really going to talk about it too much in this newsletter, if that’s alright. I think y’all know where I stand.
