I’ve recently been playing with GPT-4 via the ChatGPT interface, but it’s relatively cumbersome to interact with via a web browser. While I’m interested in some CLI tools, I wanted something lower effort to improve my workflow. So I’ve been using MacGPT recently. I don’t have API access yet, so I use it as a simple menu bar flyout container for the ChatGPT web interface.

I’ve been enjoying the brr.fyi blog recently about living at an Antarctic research station. It’s written by a Bay Area IT Engineer who got interested in the logistics of Antarctic life and decided to make a dramatic life change.

Here’s their latest post about how weird the sunset is at 90ºS latitude, finally answering the question “What if the sun only set once a year and it took 3 months?” that has entranced sci-fi authors for decades.
