Weekly Recommendation: Imbiss 3000
Hey there!
Here’s your weekly German media recommendation from Monoglot Anxiety. This time, it's the podcast Imbiss 3000
But first, a quick note from me:
No real updates time. If you want to complain about (or perhaps, compliment) my recommendations, you can get in touch on Twitter @monoglotanxiety or by shooting an email to hello@monoglotanxiety.com. You can also get in touch, support the blog, or send a one-time donation from the Buy Me A Coffee page.
With that out of the way, on to the recommendation...
Imbiss 3000
A podcast I only discovered today, Imbiss 3000 has somehow convinced me to set aside my long-held distaste for food media and listen to a food podcast. The show reminds me a lot of the science podcast Methodisch Inkorrect in the best way, with a format based on unscripted conversation between the two hosts — fantastic for language learners looking to practice listening to natural rather than scripted speech. There's also, much to my excitement, lots of nerdiness and even a food scientist guest involved. Episodes cover everything and anything that could fall under the umbrella "zeitgenössische Ess- und vor allem Snackkultur in Deutschland."
Check out Imbiss 3000 here, or wherever you listen to podcasts.
Credit where credit is due
This recommendation was recommended to me by @languageoclock on Twitter. Langtwt (check out the #langtwt tag) is an awesome community for language learners and anyone learning German or any language should check it out. The community is incredibly positive and supportive, and it's great to connect with other language nerds.
That's all for this week,
Elise from Monoglot Anxiety
