Weekly Recommendation: Am Ende denk ich immer nur an dich by Element of Crime
Hey there!
Here’s your weekly German media recommendation from Monoglot Anxiety. This time, it's "Am Ende denk ich immer nur an dich" by Element of Crime
But first, a quick note from me:
No real updates time. If you want to complain about (or perhaps, compliment) my recommendations, you can get in touch on Twitter @monoglotanxiety or by shooting an email to hello@monoglotanxiety.com. With that out of the way, on to the recommendation...
"Am Ende denk ich immer nur an dich"
The melancholic rock group Element of Crime is one of my favorite German groups. "Am Ende denk ich immer nur an dich" recounts a scene at a playground as it unfolds, with some little detail prompting the singer to think of the love he lost by the end of each block of lyrics. If you like relaxed acoustic rock with thoughtful lyrics, you'll probably like Element of Crime. The songs tend to be on the slower side and the lyrics are pronounced clearly, making Element of Crime relatively friendly for German learners who, like me, might struggle with following lyrics. Although to be honest I also struggle with following lyrics in English...
Check out the song on Youtube, or wherever you listen to music.
That's all for this week,
Elise from Monoglot Anxiety
