What is Maker Weekly? - December 1st 2018
What is Maker Weekly?
Well, I guess this Tweet is what started it all:
https://twitter.com/wimgz/status/1061186487377489920?s=20
Our tagline is "Indiemaker and bootstrapped startup news".
Here's our angle though: we want to write content that is directly useful to you.
We're not here to recycle the latest launches, we want to look at the bigger picture.
Maker Weekly is here to deliver content beyond “What’s launched in indie world this week?” And “What’s this maker shipping next?”.

We are going below the surface of the maker phenomenon and into the trends, movtivations and tools of the modern indiemakers.

Who is Maker Weekly
True to the indie hacker ethos, Maker Weekly is just 2 people:
Dante, a maker from Nigeria:
Currently working on “Treadie - Create your own micro-social network for topics, rants and stories and “Scaleboot - Successfully launch your minimum viable product”.
In his words "we started Maker Weekly as it was a way for us to get the best of the indie world, keep up with makers, know what’s really happening."
Hugo, a developer from London:
Currently working on Code with Hugo and Accountable Blogging.
In his words "Maker Weekly isn't just a Twitter account that tweets the top launches of the day. It's about longer form content that's more thought out and has a bit more scope than 240 characters."
