It’s been a while. A lot has changed since the last time I’ve sent out a letter. I cut off my hair, met Kanye West, and well… renamed the newsletter entirely.
If you’ve read my most recent blog post, you already know the deal. If you didn’t, here’s the spiel: I’ve renamed the newsletter to Hurdle. My vision is for Hurdle to be a mid-week pick-me-up that celebrates small wins and discoveries through introspect.
This can be seen as the first issue or a reintroduction of sorts.
Without further ado, here are my latest findings and musings. 👏🏽
All About Love: New Visions by bell hooks aims to challenge the way we think about love. It makes you dig deep and face the harsh realities of the human condition. I’m not typically a fan of literature that focuses on the ideals of love, but hooks is undoubtedly shaking the table. If you’re looking to examine how you handle relationships then this is for you.
Last week I finally published A Year in Berlin — which I admittedly had locked away in my drafts for a few months. To be perfectly honest, I considered not publishing it at all. That said, now that it’s out in the wild — I’m really glad that I did. In this, I touch on how last year’s events transformed my outlook on life.

If you know anything about my music taste, then you know I’m a huge fan of deep house. Specifically, house music inspired by the Midwest… but that is another story for another time. I put together an extensive Spotify playlist of my favorite tracks. Give it a spin.
Love allows us to confront … negative realities in a manner that is life-affirming and life-enhancing.
