Goodbye 2018!
2018, while exhausting for everyone, was actually a pretty good year here in the Steele household!
- I successfully defended my dissertation proposal in April.
- Our daughter, Eva Joy Steele, was born in July.
- I was hired as the Managing Editor of Anglican Pastor.
- I got to baptize Eva in November.
Useful Tools and Resources
- If you're interested in doing an end-of-the-year review (perhaps instead of New Year's resolutions), I recommend using either Tim Ferriss' or James Clear's format as a guide.
- Quit Facebook and Twitter and give micro.blog a try instead!
- Turn off the TV and use an RSS Reader (like Feedly) to consume information.
- Follow the Farnam Street Blog to learn how to think clearly and make better decisions. Start with their best posts of 2018.
- I need to lose some "new dad weight" in 2019, and I plan to use the Slow Carb Diet to do so.
Questions I'm Pondering
- How can I shepherd my baby daughter well before she can even talk?
- How can the Church better provide formative theological education?
- What resources does the Church need in order to face the challenges of 2019?
Projects I'm Working On
- My dissertation.
- Growing, managing, and editing Anglican Pastor.
