Sometimes you don’t need elaborate fiction or fakelore to enjoy the game, the song, the novel etc. Sometimes a song is as sweet and straightforward as vanilla, as satisfying as neatly executed high five.
All I know is that I sent this song to a bunch of people this week, and two of them—unconnected, unprompted—said “this makes me feel hopeful.”
