Amazing Grace (Jones); parsley curation
Hi friends!
Happy International Women's Day!
Each year, I pick a word as my theme for focus and reflection. For 2019, I chose Grace. I like the word and its meaning of "unmerited divine assistance given to humans for their regeneration or sanctification." I also happen to know or admire a lot of people named Grace, so I've been collecting them on my blog. Last week, I was amazed by 70-year-old Grace Jones, wowing the world on the catwalk during Paris Fashion Week.
Speaking of Grace, both Grace and Ada love parsley. When I buy a bunch, I take the time to sort it out into 1) long stems that will be trimmed and put into a glass with water like flowers, 2) short random sprigs they can eat immediately, and 3) wilting bits that will be composted. The parsley in the glass stays good for nearly a week.
It's a tough job to be the guinea pig concierge. But my discerning clientele do appreciate it!
If you're wondering, I've been off Facebook for two weeks. I kept track of the number of times I absent-mindedly looked for the app on my phone, and it's been pretty rare--just 7 times in 14 days.
Thanks for reading! Let me know how you are doing and send photos of kids and pets, if you are so inclined!
xoxo, Jean
