I hope you liked the first issue of 🔥 Hyper Chrome. If you have feedback about this newsletter, please send it my way by hitting reply on this email.
When I switched from Safari to Chrome, I really missed the privacy and decluttering features Safari provided.
I already found a solution to the tracking and ads problem: I use Brave to block ads and trackers and have built Hello, Goodbye to block annoying help widgets.
But I still found myself coming back to Safari to read articles, as the reading mode Safari offers just simply works: With the click of a button all the ads, and more get removed and you’re just left with the plain article.
Now that I discovered the readermode chrome extension, I can read all my articles in Chrome and enjoy some extra bits of functionality readermode provides.
readermode comes with an awesome, great-looking configuration out of the box. But, you can customise it wildly, depending on your needs.
You can change the text color, font (and size), apply custom CSS, use dark mode or translate. It is a very powerful extension.
readermode is free. The free version is great and powerful and you should totally use it. Though, if you would like features like translation or dark mode you will need to upgrade to pro (which currently is on sale for $15).
You can also just buy the maker a coffee, if you don’t want to pay $15, but still want to give something.
You can download or buy readermode on https://readermode.io
Thanks a lot for reading this issue and to @fajarsiddiqFS for recommending to try out readermode.
