15-17 March 2025
Well... I missed the last couple of days...
Friday I completely blanked on drawing a Grub because I was focused on foofaraw commissions and my day job.
Yesterday I actually sketched out three Grubs, but didn't throw them in Procreate.
And finally today, I drew some more Grubs, digitized them, and here we are.
Today's is obvious with a four-leaf clover. St. Patrick's day in Chicago is one of the best. I miss it a bit. There are (probably) only a few cities who do it as good in the US—Boston being the only one I can imagine off the top of my head.
Yesterday's (which technically is based on today as well...) is a Grub doing Pure Barre. It's like a ballet exercise class that my wife used to do back in Chicago a lot. We are both trying to get back in shape so we did pilates the other week and now I decided to go with this to her to try it out. I have a feeling I'm one of the few men to ever do it. And was told as much, at least for this specific studio.
And then Friday's Grub (which is technically based on yesterday), we gave our dog, Bruce Wayne a bath.
I actually have a Grub drawn for Friday (that I did yesterday), but because these three were all more timely and specifically related to this weekend, I decided to save it for tomorrow.
Anyways, the weekend was really nice. Got some of our favorite food, went for some nice long talks, and watched Poor Things, which I adored. I slid it into my second favorite for last year since I never actually published a top ten list...
I never really talk about my song selection here, but there's usually a reason for each choice. I wonder if I should go into detail on that a bit more... I'll try it...
Hope you had a peaceful weekend.
Today's Song:
Barroom Hero by Dropkick Murphys
An obvious choice for St. Patty's. I try to keep Sunday songs as oldies (aka pre-90's), but this one felt right. It's also 26 years old anyways.
Yesterday's Grub
Yesterday's Song:
Snap Yo Fingers by Lil John and E-40
My wife mentioned a wine company out here used to have a wine with a Bay Area rapper. We think it was E-40 who she had never heard of so I had to play her some hyphy goodness. She hated most of his stuff, but this Lil John joint she knew.

Friday's Song:
IMAGINARY FRIENDS by Tierra Whack
There is little doubt in my head WORLD WIDE WHACK is going to be my album of the week come Monday.
