Gil's week #202029

Gil thoughts

This week I…

  • Have been focusing on something I can’t really share, so I didn’t have much time for reading cool articles, so I don’t have much to share this time.
  • My gaming pc is still unplugged and will remain like that for at least two more weeks, I miss it a bit, but I love having the extra time to read and write.
  • I reinstalled Instagram and uninstalled it again, I didn’t miss much, I did this twice, I like this “healthier” way of checking instagram, having to re-type my username/password will definitely make me less likely to use the app.

Sound of the week

  • Eluveitie - Inis Mona

Great URLs

  • Avoid burnout by saying no, I have fallen prey of volunteering too much, I know this is an easy way to feel overwhelmed, this article shows a few ways of saying “no”. It’s targeted for leaders, but I think everyone can find it useful.
  • A Hierarchy of Engineering Values, I really enjoyed this article, made me think about what really are my engineering values, if you’re looking for a new job, or planning to, this may be useful for figuring out whether a role is a good fit for you or not.

Cheers,

Gil
