Is Lying Always a Sin?
In the midst of our moral panic over misinformation, I am going to offer you one especially long read to make the ethical dilemma even worse. It is about a journalist with a long history of lying, and how the powers above had a plan for him:
Fraudulent Journalist Stephen Glass on His Biggest Lie - Air Mail
After he was exposed as a fabricator, the journalist swore he would always tell the truth. Fate forced him to lie again.
This week, I'm only sending this one article in the hopes that you will read it. It casts a different light on the usual truth v. lie dichotomy. Nothing is either black or white. Most things are both.
And if you are looking for a unique Christmas gift that will be used to create hope for a marginalized entrepreneur, buy and gift some $KARMA coin. We use its proceeds to give mini-grants to creators who need to get their businesses off the ground. Our latest grant was to BlackIssuesIssues creator Kanene Ayo Holder, to fund her Kickstarter video.
