Burying My Head in My Pillow Because of Arizona Politics
I am hoping the people who read this newsletter are intelligent and educated. Readers, I don’t care what party you belong to, I just hope you are in favor of preserving the right to vote.
I’m really scared by some of the new voting rights laws (although others are just fine), and I’m personally for having to show a voter ID, be a citizen, etc.
But I am concerned about current efforts making it more difficult for people to vote, when I believe we need to be making it easier. I, for one, am too old to stand in lines to vote, and I’ve been on the permanent early voting list since it was created. Now I am told the right to vote by mail may be threatened.
In the age of the internet this throwback to the 19th century seems to be crazy. And elected officials have actually said they don’t want “everybody” to vote.
Are we really in danger of election fraud? Or of voter suppression? It depends on who you think should vote. https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2021/07/mike-lindells-plot-destroy-america/619593/
