Welcome to the second beta issue of foofaraw. No major changes this week (I'm digging the new, combined format myself—hopefully you are too). However, there won't be a sonic vibrations section this week. I spent the last five or so days dealing with moving from Seattle to Napa and the long drive that came with it so and am just now starting to get settled into our new place so I haven't had a chance to dig into any of the new music releases (that's also why I'm a day late). If you found any good albums this past week let me know.
what's on tv this week
Only three new shows, all animated, are worthy of checking out in my opinion.
Can't tell if this will actually be good or not, but it captures a very cool VHS/Neon vibe that feels worth giving a shot. Brings me back to the feeling I had growing up when a new GameBoy game came out that I just had to have and immersed myself in.
This looks truly bonkers. The design 100% takes advantage of animation in a way that is extremely up my alley. Bizarre and alien visuals with some horror vibes.
I don't actually watch this, but so many people close to me always mention it so one of these days I'll take the time to actually catch up.

this weeks best comic releases—books are in order of my interest/preference if you are looking for help narrowing down
This looks to be a pretty great week of releases with some fun No. 1's and excellent releases from Image, Boom, Oni, DC, and even Marvel (you might've noticed Marvel didn't make the list last week).
The ordering may have been a little confusing last week so I tried to clarify in the subtitle above, but I always try to order things by importance/interest/preference to help you figure out what you think might be worth checking out if something catches your eye high in the list.
Subgenre (Dark Horse) #1
This book looks like a ton of fun. Matt Kindt with his new imprint at Dark Horse, which is always an opportunity for wild ideas to hit the page.
The Man From Maybe (Oni) #1
Jordan Thomas and Shaky Kane have been doing some fun and weird stuff too and they are following up their Weird Work miniseries at Image with this one at Oni.
Justice League vs Godzilla vs Kong (DC) #1
Just a bonkers and fun idea.
Bone Orchard Mythos: Tenement (Image) #5
If you aren't a Jeff Lemire completionist or at least a Bone Orchard completionist, I don't know what to tell you other than you should be.
Kill Your Darlings (Image) #2
Second issue of the Supple Boiz book. First issue really impressed me so I'm along for the ride.
Swan Songs (Image) #4
Sad to see this is only going to be six issues. I've been really digging this anthology of endings from W. Maxwell Prince. At least we have a few more.
Rumpus Room (AWA) #2
Nightwing (DC) #107
Superman (DC) #7
The Incredible Hulk (Marvel) #5
Dwellings (Oni) #2
Grim (Boom) #14
Coda (Boom) #2

Catwoman (DC) #58
Titans (DC) #4
Hexagon Bridge (Image) #2

movies hitting the big screen this week
One of the most anticipated movies of the year hits theaters (and IMAX) this week. It'll get a streaming release later on Apple as well and while I thought they announced that date to be somewhere in December, I'm having trouble confirming it...
New Errol Morris documentary on former British spy David Cornwell aka John le Carré the great spy novelist known for works such as Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. This one hits both theaters and Apple this Friday.
That's it for this week. Let me know what you're checking out, especially if you stumbled across any good albums from last week that I should check out. I've got more moving stuff to take care of (plus pretending to do my day job here and there) so I'll likely fall pretty far behind on things, but I'll make sure to keep you informed of what's around the corner.
Stay sane,
