Variety (announcements for July 11)
Hi everyone,
The apostle Paul wrote:
Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. (1 Corinthians 12:4-6)
I feel like I have a front-row seat to all of this. So many of you are contributing in various ways to the kingdom work that is happening in our congregation. We all have different gifts, but they are each crucially important, and come from the same Spirit. We all serve in different ways, but we are each serving the Lord Jesus in love and faith. We all engage in different activities, but we acknowledge that it is really God who is working in and through us.
May the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit be glorified in the way that we serve and act together in his strength, using his gifts to build his kingdom!
Sincerely,
Pastor Goligher

Looking ahead
Teens Hike: On July 31, the teens are invited to join a hike at Glen Canyon in San Francisco. Youth from New Covenant OPC in South San Francisco will be joining as well. Please speak with Pastor Goligher if you plan to join.
Evening lecture: On August 13, there will be an evening social event at the church. After coffee and dessert, we will hear a lecture from Colin Redemer, who is vice-president of the Davenant Institute. His lecture will be about the experience of Christians in Communist Europe.
CityTeam Volunteer Opportunity: On August 28, 10am-12pm, we have an opportunity for twelve people to volunteer at City Team Ministries in San Jose. You can sign up to join at this link. Please speak with Scott Porter if you have any questions.
Free Keyboard
The church has an electric keyboard that needs to find a new home. Except for the headphone jack, it works well. If you would like to have this keyboard, or if you know someone else who would, please speak with Brian Mark or Stan Liao.
