It has been a wonderful and valuable week of ministry to kids, both inside and outside our church. Thank-you to everyone who helped out, and to all the kids who joined in. And together we thank God, who gave his Spirit so that we would have the gifts we need to serve together for his glory.
This Sunday evening, we are going to resume our custom of singing together before the evening service. This will be at 5pm (not 4:45, as in the past), so please come at the normal time. The only change is that before the usual announcements, there will be about 10 minutes of singing.
One more custom that has been suspended for some time is our monthly fellowship lunch. We have decided to resume these lunches on the third Sunday of October, due to various travel schedules in August and September.
Next Sunday, during our Adult Sunday school class, I will be conducting a class on child safety. We aim to do this about once a year, and it is meant to address everyone. It will be especially valuable, though, for parents and for those who wish to serve in our church’s ministries to children.
Sunday school is at 9:45am. Last week, we learned about the first part of the life and ministry of Cyril of Alexandria. This week, we’ll hear about what happened at the Council of Ephesus (in June 431).
The morning service is at 11:00am.
The evening service is at 5:00pm.
Tuesday Bible Study will meet at 10:30am, at the Church and on Zoom. We will be studying Nehemiah 7.
Park Day is on Wednesday at 10:00am, at Campbell Park. Everyone is invited, especially moms and kids.
Prayer Meeting is on Wednesday evening at 7:15pm, at the church and on Zoom.
The teens will be meeting on Friday, 11am-1pm at Las Palmas Park. This week, we are reading the book of Esther, the book of Galatians, and chapter 8 of My Tech-Wise Life. Please note: there will not be an event on Saturday July 24.
