First, two quick notes.
Resuming Sunday School last week was a great joy. So many things were the same as they used to be: telenews, singing happy birthday and the “world bank,” and some lively discussion. The kids also had a grand time learning about Pilgrim’s Progress.
This week, I plan to use Adult Sunday School to introduce the Trinity Psalter Hymnal. In the next couple of months, we are going to begin using this Psalter-Hymnal in our public worship. It has very singable tunes for all 150 Psalms, as well as a large selection of hymns (mostly old, some new). We are hopeful that this Psalter-Hymnal will help us to enjoy singing to the Lord, the Psalms especially.
We encourage all the families in our church to buy one of these Psalter-Hymnals for your own use. They will help you in family worship, hospitality, personal devotion, and preparation for public worship.
For this purpose, we invite you to join the larger order that we are making for the Church. The cost to you will be $20 per copy (no shipping). To order a copy, use this form, or speak with a church officer, by July 4.
May we have many occasions to sing together of God’s grace and kindness.
Sunday School is at 9:45am, for kids and adults.
The morning service is at 11:00am.
The evening service is at 5:00pm.
Tuesday Bible Study is at 10:30am, at Church and on Zoom. We will be studying Nehemiah 4.
Prayer Meeting is on Wednesday evening at 7:15pm, at Church and on Zoom.
Women’s Bible Study is on Thursday evening at 7pm, on Zoom. We are studying the prophet Ezekiel. Please read the Teaching Chapter (pages 221-235) and complete the discussion questions on pages 236-237.
Teens will not meet this week. We are still reading, though! This week we are on 2 Kings 1-7, Mark 13-16, chapter 4 of My Tech-Wise Life, and chapter 3 of Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert.
Starting this week, we are reserving the fellowship hall for those who prefer to wear masks and more carefully practice social distancing during the worship service. Thanks to some talented tech volunteers, the TV there is now able to play the live video feed from the worship hall.
