Beating over the head (announcements for September 12)
Hi everyone,
I enjoyed reading this comment from Martin Luther on Galatians:
Jesus Christ the Son of God ... suffered and died to deliver me from sin and death. ... And this is the truth of the Gospel. It is also the principal article of all Christian doctrine, wherein the knowledge of all godliness consisteth. Most necessary it is therefore, that we should know this article well, teach it unto others, and beat it into their heads continually.
That sounds painful! But in the best possible way. I hope we never get tired of "beating each other over the head" with the truth that Jesus suffered and died to deliver us from sin and death.
Sincerely,
Pastor Goligher
