✅ Lower the pressure, you can't learn EVERYTHING
Hi Developer,
It’s Raymon from the Mr Frontend Community.

Lower the pressure, you can’t learn EVERYTHING
Maybe you didn’t saw my tweet from last week, but I tweeted the tweet below.
As a #codenewbie don’t put yourself under the pressure of learning ”EVERYTHING” because that’s ”IMPOSSIBLE” 😳 Learn to ”FOCUS” on 1 thing at a time and grow! 🙏💪 If you learn ”EVERYTHING”, you will end up with ”NOTHING”! ✌️ #codenewbie #100daysofcode
I didn’t expect it got so many reactions, likes, and retweets. Because of that, it was clear to me that so many of you have the feeling and feel the pressure of the need for learning EVERYTHING. 🤔
So today I want to tell you that is simply not possible to know and learn everything in the development world. It is not possible!
We are humans right, we are not computers that we can upgrade. (Damn Apple your laptops neither!) So we can’t process less data simultaneously, so why even try to learn everything?
If you are just starting in the world of development. Focus on 1 thing at a time. If you try to do a few things at the same time you will see let results than if you focus on just one thing.
Yeah, I know HTML and CSS are learned at the same time. Yes, that is because without styling you have ugly page right? But still, if you first spend time with only learning HTML and then when you’re comfortable with it, learn CSS and after that JavaScript.
I see a lot of people learn HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React and GraphQL and that is mind-blowing and this will burn you up!
Just like I said in my previous email before you dive into a JavaScript framework or library, just become very comfortable with JavaScript 😉
If you try to learn everything, you end up with nothing and quite some frustration. If you want to save all those un-needed frustrations? Please focus on just 1 thing at a time and time will show you in the long run, you have learned a lot of things 😉
Applause for all 100 days of code(rs)
100daysofcode: the massive amount of people took the challenge! So big applause for all of them! I’m very proud to see everyone doing great stuff on Twitter!
