Gemini

the smorgasbord

I've been bitten by the Gemini bug! If you haven't seen it yet, Gemini is an interesting technology that tries to provide a "newer simpler Web". What would it look like to have a technology that's not quite so "early 90's" as Gopher, and not so bloated and overwrought as the modern Web? Matt from Sensor Station has a better synopsis of the "why" than I could write myself [web, gemini].

Why am I bringing this up? Well, for one, I have updated my personal website to also be available as a Gemini capsule. And as part of the expediency that Gemini provides, a couple of my recent posts have only been available via Gemini so far! I definitely suggest trying them with a Gemini client if possible. If not, I've also included links via a Web→Gemini portal if you want to stick with your Web browser.
