World Food Forum 2023, took place October 16-20, Rome, Italy, consisting of three interlinking events with the common goal “to advance bold and actionable solutions to catalyze the transformation of our agrifood systems”. The events included the FAO Science and Innovation Forum, the Global Youth Forum, and the FAO Hand in Hand Investment Forum. WHO releases updated guidance on adolescent health and well-being, October 11, 2023. The guidance provides the latest available data on adolescent health and well-being. It also outlines an updated list of core indicators that data should be collected on.
WHO launches a new Global Initiative on Digital Health supported by the G20 Presidency, August 19, 2023. WHO and partners announced substantial commitments in cash and kind from multiple stakeholders to support the launch of this new Initiative. Digital health is a proven accelerator to advance health outcomes towards achieving Universal Health Coverage and the health-related Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
The American Society for Nutrition’s leading annual event with the latest nutrition research will convene next June in the Windy City.

The Food Forum 30th Anniversary Symposium, Online, November 30, 2023, 10am - 4pm ET. The National Academies’ symposium will review the history of the Food Forum, its evolution, and how it has informed research, policy, and industry practice. This virtual symposium will also feature discussions on the future of food in light of challenges such as climate change and population growth, new technologies to address these challenges, how these challenges affect and are influenced by health equity issues, and how the Food Forum will continue to approach these issues proactively and through a multi-sectoral lens.
