Something that interested me this week

This week, our second episode of the Dev Morning Show (at night) arrived, featuring Chloe Condon! You can watch on YouTube, or wherever you get your podcasts. She brought props.

Besides that, this week was kind of a hectic one (I’ll explain more next week, you’ll see once some things fall into place), but I did get to enjoy reading and seeing some family, and playing with my keyboards. Speaking of, I showed off my newest keyboard on my livestream this past week, and if you ever wanna tune in, I stream on Thursdays at 12:30pm PT/2:30pm CT!

Wamy.Cloud is a modern tool for testing automation.

How do you test your JavaScript UI projects? You may have heard of Selenium and others, and avoid using them because of the complexity of infrastructure, code, and usage. That is why we created Wamy!

Wamy will help you create end-to-end automated tests for your project, with no setup or code required! It supports logging in, screenshots, PDF generation, DOM validation, UX, accessibility tests, and more, with everything integrated with your favorite CI tools like GitHub, Travis, AWS CodeBuild. It’s easy to use and set up, give it a try!

Interview question of the week

Last week, I had you test an adding function. It was fun seeing the creative responses! Great work Miguel, Robin, Lucien, Amine, Ten, and Max!

This week’s question:
Write a function fromTo that produces a generator, that will produce values in a range.

Usage:

let gen = fromTo(5,7)

> gen()
5
> gen()
6
> gen()
7
> gen()
undefined

Joke

I went to buy a pet spider the other day at the pet store. They were going to charge me $300! I scoffed, and said that it’ll be cheaper getting one off the web!

That’s all for now, folks! Have a great week. Be safe, make good choices, and eat your vegetables!
