Gosh, October is flying by, I can’t believe it’s already time for a new week! I hope yours was a good one. Let’s boogie.

Ever have one of those weeks where it was so busy that it feels like you did nothing, even though you did a lot? Writing this section involved me staring at the screen and thinking, “do I even do anything besides sort candy and pitch empanada-based products?”
Turns out, I do, on occasion! First of all, the latest episode of The Dev Morning Show (at night) came out, featuring my sister, Cami! It’s always fun getting to do anything with her, so I was particularly excited about this one. I also was on the latest PodRocket episode talking about web dev, spicy takes, and… moose, of course.
I also kept up with some more open source work! I’ve been slowly but surely upgrading my app todometer (which has been very unmaintained because… it just worked, but I’m realizing now that I should have been keeping that up, heh), and prepping a rewrite of my Obsidian theme, cardstock because of the latest updates to the app. It’s been pretty fun, and frustrating, which is what open source is all about, right?
Centered is my favorite productivity app! It has great features that keep you focused:
✅ Distraction nudges
✅ Flow music
✅ Pomodoro timers
✅ 1:1 buddy sessions
✅ Notification blocking

Last week, I had you write a function that closes and opens doors. It’s harder than it sounds, I promise. But y’all did a great job with it! Awesome work Zoé, Miguel, Andrew, Les, Rincon, Libreriasjs, David, Muhammad, Thomas, Ten, Amine, Chase, Ryan, Saad, Nick, Giovanni, Tamás, Brian, Sreetam, Laurynas, Jun, Max, Dan, Daniel, Cedric, and Kyle!
This week’s question:
Given an integer
n, print a balanced binary tree with
n leaf nodes using the characters
> printTree(2) /\ // or you could output something like: /\ / \ > printTree(3) /\ /\ \ // or you could output something like: /\ / /\ / / \
Why do ghosts love elevators?
It lifts their spirits!
That’s all for now, folks! Have a great week. Be safe, make good choices, and take a walk!
