- If I’m at home hanging out or doing chores, chances are I have food Youtube on the Apple TV. Most of the time, I pick an episode—or three—from the Bon Appétit Cinematic Universe. I am a big fan of the “X ways to cook Y” series, but my absolute favorite is “It’s Alive with Brad Leone”. This is a great episode to start with.
- With a lot of the big updates to iOS come updates to the Emoji library. Emojipedia goes to great lengths to catalog the changes and highlights some of the important strides Apple is making in diversity and inclusion with their emoji. I appreciate all the gender-neutral characters that are now available, and the accessibility emoji are really cool.
- I haven’t owned a video game console in at least five years, and while I do get pulled into the occasional mobile game—Sayonara Wild Hearts is a current favorite—I sometimes miss firing up Grand Theft Auto V and just going for a drive. This article, which perfectly captured something I used to do in the evenings just to shut my brain off for a little while, came to me by way of Reader Cayla.
- I’ve been a fan of Stephen Kenn’s sofas and bags made of reclaimed military tent canvas ever since I saw his Encounter Collection film. He recently partnered with a vintage rug dealer to make a one-of-one chair using a one-hundred-year-old rug that I wish I could put in my house. After the chair was finished they sat down to talk about art and Stephen published a few choice questions and answers.
- It’s fall, which means it is time for beautiful knitwear. These sweaters are much less traditional than others. Normally I like stumbling across moments where clothes align with backgrounds serendipitously, but the amount of work that went into making and photographing these is astounding. If you’re looking for a new fall sweater, I recommend you snag something from reader favorite (hi Dawn and Stacy 👋) Billy Reid.
I would love to hear from you if you enjoyed any of these links, or if you have something you think I should add to my collection, feel free to reply to this email!
