I don’t know if I agree with Nick Cave on Kanye’s status, but I do think this is a fantastic quote.
Making art is a form of madness—we slip deep within our own singular vision and become lost to it. There is no musician on Earth that is as committed to their own derangement as Kanye, and in this respect, at this point in time, he is our greatest artist.

I’ve long been fascinated by the highly illegal Cannonball record: a race against the clock from New York to Los Angeles. A team of three recently broke the previous record by more than one hour by somehow averaging a blistering 103 mph across the country. If this kind of automotive insanity is your thing, I recommend The Driver by previous Cannonball record-holder, Alex Roy.

If you’ve been a subscriber for a while, you probably know my admiration for Danny Macaskill. He has a new film where he’s back on a small bike after two years of injury recovery and all the time he spent in the gym really seemed to pay off.
