may 22 2022 - pelvis splash
nooooo I didn't forget, i never mess up*, this is a third quarter moon special:
*except when at the gym, where I've been finding new ways to flop, new configurations that elicit a fall, a gentle failure.
in this era of my bod, my pelvis is less interested in the obviousness of the big muscle group exercises.
instead, I've been playing with counterbalancing exercises to stack my pelvis and my spine in new orientations.
the notion of a "neutral spine" is arbitrary, no duh! hello from my heaviest sacrum.
what better way to take babyy control (!!) amidst ongoing global, etc. uncertainty (lol) than the ongoing work of caring for my center, stabilizing my core, finding the fine fibers in my little joints and destabilizing them just enough so they grow stronger, more sure, little by little. controlled stumbling, choreographed flopping... is this a trauma response?? lol
the bros call this "muscle confusion."
i call it #softbodflailing lmao, all of my little brands were always the same thing (#softbods #freelanceflailing etc.)
in these PT-esque isolations, the body can appear to be barely doing anything.
and yet, an observing gym pal told me i was making a big show of making sure my sturdy ankles stay sturdy!
sometimes, looking at a mirror in my own little world doesn't tell me much! s/o to perspective!
i was reminded that when you're a star like me, everything you do sparkles :)
lmao otherwise, first quarter moon slush did not acknowledge aries or taurus szn 2022.
for this sun + mercury retrograde in gemini szn, sunday's third quarter moon in pisces, this eclipse szn (!!) i'm thinking about exertion and splash. about doing very little while appearing to do too much, and doing the most while appearing breezy by design.
sub crit
i started watching the new television show with all the yearning and sincerely loved the lack of story, just plot points, the lack of character development, just linear growth. sometimes the brain just wants feels and aesthetics, sometimes intense eye contact is substance enough :)
but also, i listened to the 22 hour audiobook that not only has an overall Walter Benjamin epigraph but every section starts with another Walter Benjamin epigraph and my jaw dropped every time. we must discuss!!
