Ok, short one today.
Firstly, thank you to everyone who wrote back in various places to the last newsletter; all the notes made me think a little deeper about subjects in the last newsletter. I turned some of them into a letters page on the blog, which you can find over here.
Maybe this is something we should do every time with the longer missives? You gotta love a letters page, no?
Secondly, a surprise from the Artefact Shop stock take.
We found a whole box of the original Artefact Plus by packaging wunderkind Burgo Wharton. They're amazing, but they need to go; we have other things planned for that space (clue; viewing frames, dice).
They're up here at 50% off, I'm telling you folks before everyone else.
Go fill your boots.
That can't be all for today, can it?
Oh, alright then, a few interesting things from open tabs:
I like this a lot from the RSA on Regenerative Capitalism. Feels like an organisation with a real sense of purpose and direction at the moment. As I just mentioned to a friend on a call, somewhere where I suddenly feel the unconventional crossover of interests I have might have a home, so I might apply for fellowship. Anybody a member?
A good set of notes for update #4 on Readwise Reader public beta. I started using Readwise to capture short sections from books a while back, and it's great to start to see where their longer term strategy might be headed. Basically, I might not need anything else in future (sorry Obsidian, Tana et al).
I met Susan Schuppli at Shannon Mattern's talk in London recently, and we had a nice chat afterwards. I love her project on Listening To Ice, and probably be will be using it on the IED course in July as a counterpoint to how different people around the world will think about 'Taking Care of Water'.
That really is all for today; until next time...
