Tiny TRS-80 Model IIIs in the new store

Transmutable updates

Hello, friends! It's me, Trevor Flowers.

After a successful test of a Gumroad store I've listed several of these 1:6 scale TRS-80 Model III minis for sale. A full sized III was one of the first computers that I had all to myself and I spent most of my time poking the graphics buffer to make pleasing patterns. This tiny version is as cute as a button.

If you'd like to buy one then head over to the store: https://transmutable.gumroad.com/l/tiny-model-3

I'm working on other tiny PCs including an Osborne One luggable and a few classics from the early 80s. If you have a favorite model that you'd like to see in small form then do let me know.

I've also put together a tiny tech stack that will let me add working displays and network access to miniatures. The small TFT panel I'm using has more pixels than many of the originals!

For the workshop I've started collecting parts to build a DIY computer controlled milling machine that I've designed to make tiny but strong metal parts in a repeatable process. This will allow the creation of more complex mechanisms like custom mechanical key switches as well as injection molds for key caps and custom device cases.

As the Pacific Northwest Fall arrives with Winter on its heels I'm looking forward to having more time inside to work in my cozy shop. I hope that you have something fun on your bench, too.
