Is it safe to come out? No?
Hello, Readers All,
So the infection numbers are trending up again and the elevator was out over the weekend, so safe or not (not), we didn't set foot out of the apartment. We'll stick our noses out later even if the elevator goes out of service again (extremely likely), but one trip out will do it. Enough to see discarded trees already hitting the curb. Always a festive reminder of what the season is REALLY about.
Here's what the End of the Year means to my partner and me: time to tally up the best films of the year. Check these babies out!

Out of the 130 or so we watched this year
When I'm not watching movies with my partner (or writing), I'm watching international webcams like this one in St. Petersburg, Russia where people routinely go horseback riding on the sidewalks at night.

It’s 3 am, 14 degrees F, and people in St. Petersburg, Russia are riding horses down the sidewalk. Any questions?
And what would ConsumerMas be without my latest rant?

And let's skip those "helpful" life and productivity hacks, ok?
My partner wrote this one when he was a mere child of 29 but it's pretty timeless:

There we are, another year over. By the time you see this weekly trove of new work again, it will be 2022. Time to get writing!
Hat's by the door with the usual deep bow of appreciation for those of you who keep generously tossing coins into it. Big BIG thanks!!!
