I'll be reading in Bright Hill's Word Thursday Series on June 10
Dear Friends,
I hope June finds you and your loved ones healthy and safe and happy that we are inching back to normal life. It’s been a while since I’ve written, though I have two posts in the works, one on Israel and Palestine and one about the three public roles I play in my life: as a college professor, as a union officer, and as a poet. They should be ready soon.
I’m writing now to let you know that I will be reading this coming Thursday, June 10, in Bright Hill’s Word Thursday Reading Series. The other reader is poet Margot Farrington, of whom I had not heard before but about whose work I am looking forward to learning more. The web page for Thursday’s event is here. There is an open mic. If you want to sign up, instructions are below.
When: Thursday, June 10, from 7:00-9:00 PM
Where: On Zoom or Facebook. To RSVP for the Facebook event, click here.
Bright Hill asks for a $3 donation, which they accept via Paypal, with the email wordthur@stny.rr.com, with a credit card by visiting brighthillpress.org or by check, made out to Bright Hill Press Inc, and mailed to 94 Church Street, Treadwell, NY 13846, or by credit card by personal appointment by emailing info@brighthillpress.org. You can also click here for their virutal donation jar.
Registration to read at open mic is now open. Please email info@brighthillpress.org to sign up. The first five poets will be given time to read one to two poems; all other poets will be waitlisted for the next month’s Word Thursdays. Spots are still available for June 10! RSVP TODAY!
If you are able to come to the reading, it would be lovely to see you there.
Best,
Richard
