Hello there |FNAME|!
Things seem to be returning to normal this week after the summer, with the kids back at school and the weather turning a familiar grey here in Stockport.

** SEO for beginners workshop
My monthly workshops to help beginners learn about SEO are proving popular with the good business owners of Stockport!
I keep the groups small (4 people maximum) and hold them at Tandem Coffee House, which has good drinks and snacks!
We cover: * Setting up your website for the best search engine results * Tracking progress in Google Analytics * Using analytical data to spot opportunities
The next workshop is on Thursday, September 26th, and the October one will be on Tuesday the 22nd. I always give newsletter subscribers first dibs on tickets, so let me know if you’d like to come along!

** 3 top tips to speed up your site
Page speed is really important to the success of your website (here’s why (https://pauljardine.co.uk/blog/why-page-speed-is-important/) ).
Here are 3 things you can look at during September - or any other time! - to make sure your page speed is optimised.
• Compress your images – for Wordpress websites the EWWW Image Optimizer can do this. • Only use functionality you need – Do you really need a live chat plugin? Reducing the number of installed plugins and extensions on your website will reduce the number of files being loaded on any particular page. • Use a decent hosting package – A good server will run your website much faster than a cheap one.
There are more tips such as these in the MOT Guide Book I sent you when you signed up for this newsletter. Let me know if you’ve misplaced it and I’ll send it to you again!
** Service spotlight: WEBSITE REVIEW
If you want a more in-depth look at your site, or you simply don’t have the time to do a review yourself, I can help.
My Website Reviews Service (https://pauljardine.co.uk/services/website-reviews/) is designed to help highlight any issues with page speed, usability and search engine visibility. I also recommend ways in which you can improve these elements of your site.
