Hello there |FNAME|!
I hope you are well?
As the year draws to a close and thoughts turn to the new decade, I’ve taken some time to look back at the past year.
As business owners we often need to be thinking about the next step, the next client, the next project, the next growth opportunity. But there’s a great deal to be learned from celebrating the good that’s happened.
I’ve taken the opportunity to ask some clients and collaborators about their highlights of the past year, and I hope you will feel inspired as you read through the post entitled Celebrating your success (https://pauljardine.co.uk/blog/celebrating-your-success/) and share in their joy!
In the same post I’ve shared what I’m proud of over the last year, and I want to thank you for playing a part in the good stuff that’s happened in my business this year. Thanks for reading my newsletter and blogs, thanks for asking me to speak at your events, thanks for recommending and booking me and thanks for coming to my workshops. READ THE POST (https://pauljardine.co.uk/blog/celebrating-your-success/) Speaking of workshops, I’ll be relaunching my SEO for Beginners workshops (https://pauljardine.co.uk/seo-workshop-for-beginners/) with a new look and feel in the new year, so do let me know what you’d like to learn about (https://pauljardine.co.uk/workshops-survey/) . More about that when I’m back in the new year - my last working day is this Friday and I’ll be back on January 6th. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS (https://pauljardine.co.uk/workshops-survey/) I hope you have a peaceful Christmas time and I look forward to catching up in the new year!
If you want to stay in touch with me between newsletters, I can be found sharing web-thoughts on Twitter (https://twitter.com/pjwebdesign) and behind-the-scenes pictures on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/pj_webdesign/) .

** Reflecting on your website’s success this year
Before you dive into the new year, take some time to see what has worked well on your site this year. These are some questions to help guide you as you look at your Analytics. * Most visited pages. See which pages got the most attention to form an idea of the content that resonates with your audience. Also look at the ones that didn’t get traction and see if you can spot any patterns. * How do people find your site? If you get a lot of search traffic, are there specific pages people land on other than your homepage? * What about social media? Which networks bring you the most traffic? Compare this to your marketing strategy and look for opportunities. * High bounce rates. Look at the pages where visitors leave the site quickly. Can you include more internal links on these pages to encourage visitors to stay on your site for longer?
Use these insights to shape a strong 2020 plan for your website! Until next time, Paul
