#WhereverYouAre
#StayBright
Hi friends,
Here we are approaching Christmas in just a few days. For some of us, it's like any other day and for others, a time to recharge in quiet intervals, rest, and maybe even take time to read some books that fulfill your hunger feeling the edges and the pressures of the world becoming less sharp and light on the heart-mind.
From darkness follows light is what I heard a news anchor mention not only about the pandemic or the devastating climate issues we encounter but also about the season we find ourselves in.
Even though the days' light seems shorter and darker is what takes precedence, a thought may be to either welcome it or complain and remain stuck.
A peaceful quality reigns in a light that shines through us in myriad colors no matter what season we find ourselves in when we deeply understand the wrongs and rights we, others, and the world never or did intend on us. I think reminding us of this quality only makes us see and become noticeable better hosts, friends, family members to each other and anyone around us close or remote.
As the Sufi poet Hafiz once wrote, "I wish I could show you when you are lonely or in the darkness the astonishing light of your own being."
We all carry a light that transcends time and space. But as humans and beings, in general, we tend to operate that much more if we use it and exercise it. Just like fireflies covering our landscapes at night as stars covering our skies, the more light, the more is left to see.
Be a light unto yourself, in any strength possible, and think of thoughts that matter to you. So that what you think affects your life and starts unfurling in joyous ways for yourself and others.
Until next time, happy holidays to you!
(The calendar for January will be posted shortly as usual at www.Lyvialife.com.)
Best & warm wishes, Sylvia xoxo.
